Chapter Four

This one's pretty short...

YEAR: 2015 LOCATION: The Abandoned Lab/Temporary HQ STATUS: Hacking

My team and I were huddled around the computer as I used my technopathicly enhanced hacking abilities to bypass one firewall after another.

“Is this legal?” Jaz asked, but none of us answered. She didn’t really need to ask, we all knew that it wasn’t. But none of us would tell, and I could wipe the data from my computer as easily as I’d found it.

“Hey, now we actually are Clandestine,” Red joked.

“Shhh,” I hissed. “I’m working here.” They all stop talking. As I slipped past the last firewall, information filled the screen. “Yes! I’m through.” Sorting through the files, I found the one I wanted and quickly downloaded it to the USB I’d plugged into the computer. Then I deleted all ties to the files from my computer, getting rid of the files themselves last. Clear. I pulled up the file I’d copied, opening its contents onto a couple of different screens.

“What… does all of this even mean?” Vicky asked.

“It means that S.W.O.R.D. is compromised,” I whispered.

The files detailed the current leader of S.W.O.R.D.’s plan to turn everyone into loyal followers and pretty much take over the world. It was really detailed. We looked over the plans, realizing that it wouldn’t affect us until a while later.

By then, we’d be ready.

so when does clandestine interfere with the rest of the metaverse plot? descendants 4? all fall down? im curious

I'm not sure it ever does. Though the organization survives All Fall Down. They might even pop up around the same time as Rogue, but I don't really want them to interfere with the main plotline.

hmmm they should make a small appearance at some point tho, like just a little easter egg

ehhh maybe they'll be mentioned as one of the companies of old in rogue, but the rogue peeps don't know that they still exist
or at some point they have like Clandestine Regulation gear or something
