Unbalanced equilibrium

Unbalanced equilibrium

A Poem by Just Jayren

Hundreds create meaning for billions

Only hundreds questions the ‘meanings’ meaning

To many set an accord within pre-conceived boundaries

With no notion of possible potential

Or a heartfelt happiness

an endless endurance persists with the acceptance of life

The few reap while the rest sow

Red hands of blood, black hands of coal, ash and dirt

leave those paying misguided prices for any misfortune

There are those who know Sun Tzu, wear Toga’s and clench

onto small entities with selfish means of ‘self preservation’

and yet nor loud of quite minds can alter the screen in front

of our eyes

Eyes filled with, clueless confusion and an emerging emotion of

recognition

Neither outlandish or collective protest have achieved any desire line

away from the futility which plays within our souls unopposed

leaving us cynical yet unresponsive

I found myself re-reading this - not because it was hard to understand or badly written - but instead because I liked it so much. This is really beautifully written! I like the ideas that you are trying to get across here. Nice work. Thank you for sharing :)

This is a very powerful piece...it came of as political..I loved it! this line touched me the most "The few reap while the rest sow" because that is the way of the world..some people gain from others misfortune...and its never fair...

This is such an apt, and clearly composed analysis of the collective human mindset. I love it.

True--many reap while the rest sow. And those who understand don't do anything about it.
