3 Years

A poem that tells you about my three years with someone who i should have cut the strings with for a long time ago. The relationship i should have avoided, he was something that didn't want to commit

3 Years

With years of knowing you
I never thought you would hurt me
With all the lies you put me through
You think I would believe you?

Weeks go by without knowing you
Because once you knew I wasn't perfect
You walked away, and closed the door
You didn't want me anymore

I had no idea, when I found you
I found that my strings was tied to your heart
And all yours was cut away from mine
Found your heart tied to so many others

You often played the pity game
When i locked myself in your cage
You never knew the suffering
You never knew what you put me through

When you didn't love me anymore
You never should have stayed
You should have stayed away
And to this day you should at least tell me the truth

In three years you never told the truth
So I cut all my strings
And left you
Then walked out the door to never see you anymore
