The One

The One

A Poem by Jeff
"

Everyone has asked if this is true. It is true. Unfortunately.

"

I used to pray that I could love you again.

I used to dream to be in your arms again.

I dreamed of conversations that we would have.

I fantasized about the love we would share.

I knew I'd a better man than the one you had.

One day came when I could be the man in your life.

I thanked God that you were mine again.

I fell in love with you all over again.

The love we shared meant so much to me.

And when you blessed me with my son, I loved you more.

I loved more than I'll ever be able to say.

You were my best friend, my lover, and my wife.

Somewhere I lost sight of you.

Somewhere life pulled you from me.

It didn't happen that night.

It happened months before we knew what would happen.

I never dreamed you'd leave me.

I never dreamed I'd lose you again.

And now I pray that God will bring you home.

My angel, my lover, my best friend, and my wife.

I pray that you'll see that you do love me.

I pray that you will forgive me.

I pray God will show you that I'm the one meant for you.

Wow, nice poem. If this is based on your life, I'm sorry to hear that and hopes it works out and if it isn't then wow, just the thought of that emotion is really good.

Great poem. Really sad and I can feel the emotion. Especially losing her twice. It sucks what you went through and I hope it works out.
