Duality

A poem about the two sides on the inside

The War Within
Rages around the two within me
The light and the dark
Battling for the right to claim my soul

I feel the dark within
I feel the urge to be the demon
I see the light within
I try to live within the light

Who will reign over my soul
I feel closer to the dark
Than I feel within the light
And I see the demons smiling

I want to walk the right path
But I fail again and again
I want to walk the dark path
But the good rises again and again
