The Blame Game

The Blame Game

A Poem by Jennifer.
"

Wrote these songs to play on my guitar

"

I am realizing,

That you were only there for me

When it was good for you.

I can see now

Blindfolds taken from eyes

You never got your stories right.

And I was just holding on too tight.

I built this palace on foundation

That was crumbling fast into quicksand.

Somewhere on the way down,

You lost your heart,

You let it fall apart,

But it’s not my fault.

I am not understanding,

Why I’m fighting all alone.

You’re apathetic as stone.

I am wishing

That I didn’t care so much

Well you just never cared enough.

I’ll find someone else,

And in your jealousy

I hope you suffer by yourself.

All I ever did was love you, want you

Now I sit in this haunted house

No sparks brighter than the first one

It really hurts but I just have to bleed you out.

I built this palace on foundation

That was crumbling fast into quicksand.

Somewhere on the way down,

You broke my heart,

You let it fall apart,

But it’s not my fault.
