Foreign Lands

Foreign Lands

A Poem by Jenna Kay

Upon the horizon
I watched for ships who had traveled worlds
To get to my island

While all along
On the opposite shore
A humble vessel had all ready arrived
And in the course of searching land to find me
I was too busy searching the sea to explore

Nice bitter sweet moment of wondering. I can see here you very carefully chose your words. I feel some kind of clarity inside of this poem.

I liked the sea or the great lakes. The water allowed us to wish and dream. I liked your thoughts and the location. Nice flow of thoughts led to good ending. Thank you Jenna for sharing the excellent poetry.
