Escaping

Escaping

A Poem by True thoughts

Once upon a time in a land far away
There was a dark place no one wanted to stay
Full of nastiness and despair
No one there was ever treated fair

There lived a lady nice as pie
For others woes she would cry
One day she prayed to god above
And begged him to show this place love

She slept with a tear rolling down her face
She went to sleep feeling disgrace
Then when she woke her eyes saw anew
Blue skies and birds flying above was her view

She sat and looked around this strange new scene
No longer did it seem nasty it was like a dream
She pinched herself she felt the pain
What was going on had she gone insane

After minutes of contemplating the situation at hand
She realised she had lost those that did demand
That, that had caused this darkness to occur
Was finally gone, it could no longer bother her

So now the world is a new place
Respecting each individual race
Ecstatic to have escaped the darkness
To be living in complete happiness
