The Dragon's Flair.

The Dragon's Flair.

A Poem by Jess Holden
"

Old poem :) kinda old fashioned

"

Made sense of this pain I did,

I must understand this,

Slowly my brain with comprehend it all,

And take in the knowledge learned.

What if pain had no purpose?

Not for teaching,

But for torturing?

For hell within itself,

It cannot lie,

Awaking dragon goes the flame,

And burns those in front.

Have lessons been learned?

Has pain been created?

Who hath lost,

That the other hath won?

Has the dragon burned away your mind?

To which you use to think?

Hath you blame me for stupidity of yours,

Tis wagging finger the wrong way,

Turn it upon yourself,

For thy loss is thy gain.

I think your poetry is under appreciated, because this is genius! Most people when they put dragon in the title actually write about a dragon! Great metaphor! I thoroughly enjoyed this, and I would love to read more of your work!

Nice creative piece, only issue I saw was "Slowly my brain with comprehend it all" - shouldn't it be "will" comprehend?

Great write!
