Things we choose to loose

Things we choose to loose

A Poem by Jessica Gillitzer
"

Painful writing therapy over a love I lost.

"
I thought
I felt
Foolishly I believed

We fought endlessly
I dwelt far too long
Painful to know we were both deceived

I trusted
I fussed
I was weak to you

A bond for which I TRUSTED
Your needs always a must
I seek you and you reap the benefits of what we do

I can't
I won't
Be your muse

Reserve my rant
"She cares"... she don't
These days we're careful of those things...
Things we choose to let loose...

Beautiful work Jessica. And such relatable words. Anyone who reads this poem can't help but be drawn into it. And see a piece of themselves scattered in its theme. Whether the one speaking, or being spoken of. We know the sides all to well. Bittersweet. Love's end is always difficult to write because of the exposed wounds that almost never fully heal. Thank you for sharing.
