A Poem by jesswrecks

October and moans
echo through our bones

             And I wrote you
a poem once, about how
I fell in love with you,

But the words never
sought refuge on paper

              And so, I recited
the works of E.E Cummings
while you slept, signing off

With my heart, in hopes you
would awake with the remains
of my soul on your lips
