Abstract

A Poem by Katie Foutz Voss
"

ß ëþáëþ âàñ, íåñìîòðÿ íà âñå.

"
Implicit differences,
impossible distances.
One side of the juxtaposition:
give
yourself
up.

All these idiosyncrasies;
I adore the least of these.
The heart contends that
it
will be
enough.

There's you and me and the night.
Truth, taciturnity, and the fight.
The answer is not elsewhere, it is
down
to
us.

It's so much closer from where I stand,
heart held out in an open hand.
It's difficult, intangible, but in
you I
put my
trust.
