Moving of the Tunes Tides

Moving of the Tunes Tides

A Poem by Jester

The tunes of the world are changing,

Dances that we do are beginning to fail,

Try to move,

But you don’t belong in our circles.

Lose yourself to the music,

Don’t look back or you’ll never return,

These lands are enticing,

Promising wealth and riches.

We dance like water,

You dance like wind up toy soldiers,

Can’t understand the way you think,

Rigid cast of mind.

Move like the wind,

To understand the world,

Live like the poor,

To understand life.

Live as if tomorrow is today,

Yesterday doesn’t exist,

The future’s just a blur,

And the past is just a bad dream.

Beautiful tragedies,

Loving the stars,

Left behind with scars,

Falling for eternity.
