The 29^th of August in 1958, is when God gave u life

The Seventh of Nine kids

The one that outshined them all

In the 60s you were with family

The Jackson 5; your audition as a National Icon

Motown was your first family

The speakers for No. 1 Hits such as

“I’ll Be There” and “I Want You Back”

Showbiz came knocking at your door in 1972

And In 75’ Epic Records claimed u as their own

Quincy Jones discovered you

And “Off The Wall” introduced you to the world

“Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough” was your debut anthem

 Then when 82’ rolled around

You Moonwalked “Thriller” into everyones lives

Wearing a black fedora and one white glove

A moment in time preserved for generations to come

Five Years Later “Bad” made several hits

And a ranch called Neverland became your home

Your homage to your very rushed childhood

Then in the 90s the Media attacked you

Bubbles the Chimp, fake Hyberbaric Chamber sleep,

And interest in the remains of the Elephant man

Were put out on front street

Some true, some rumors

You coped by releasing “Dangerous”

The album that promoted world peace and helping the poor

Marriage came your way also when u were with Lisa Marie Presley

Shortly after two children were born to you

A son; Prince Michael Jackson I

And a daughter; Paris Michael Jackson

The new millennium hit

Your musical efforts were coming to a close

Collaboration with kid sister Janet and a final album were in mind

The Duet entitled “Scream” and the album “Invincible”

In 2002 you were blessed with a second Prince Michael

The media called him by his nickname “Blanket”

As they continued the invasion of your personal life and developing court cases

In later years you were found innocent

And “Thriller made its way back into the lives of young and old

On its 25^th Anniversary

Which was celebrated through song but mostly dance

In your final year of 2009

A 50-show tour was in mind

Which sold out within hours of availability

On Thursday June 25^th the Lord called you home

And the world stopped for you

Your soul lives on through music and the hearts of many

So Rock on…

“Man In The Mirror”

“Godfather Of Dance”

“MJ”
