UntitledA Poem by Lissy“As soon as the world knows the beautiful are beautiful, then there is ugliness.” "Tao Te Ching
For you, I would strip off my pulchritude The impermeable, cosmetic epicenter, Strew the repellant embellishments to Bathe in our noisome puddle of adoration.
Unlovely garble thrums like a euphony And I mimic each charm to form a cipher, Gather myself from spilled promises, Assemble the fruit of treachery. It slices my cheeks, sharp as my tongue.
We are more than a rind, A petty outward adornment. We are hideous " but when you have left me Time stretched into a panorama And the whole of my significance Dulled to a tight narcotic murmur.
Let us leave the pretty garnished To the radiant trophies Our collision has left its mark Perfect as a crescent moon An imprint of your teeth in my skin, Discolored bruise on my thigh, A faded testament to the beauty in a nightmare… The silhouette of our passion.
