A Poem by JoceMaria

papa played it like a rock star
different women, drinking, partying was the lifestyle
never considered anyone else's feelings
selfish, obnoxious blinded by his own happiness
we tried to warn him
guide him to righteousness
one day he'll see
we were right and he was a mess
we just wanted what was best

momma cries from inside
trusts no one so there's no one to confide
scared by fear, memories torment her mind
like politics trying to control peoples mind
wish i could hold her and tell her it will all be fine
tell her i love her, hopefully that would heal some time
