Kid Yourself

Kid Yourself

A Poem by Jodie Straker
"

Just my take on modern society and how people are no longer true to themselves.

"

Nothing is clear,

So nothing is true,

Down falls a tear,

But nothing's new.

Lie to the mirror,

Silence your soul,

You're just a sinner,

Playing your role.

Truth in the eye's,

Life you spend,

Hold back the cries,

Because this is the end.

like i always saw...we're so full of s**t we'll lie to ourselves as well. I'm intrigued by the idea of crying IN the mirror, like we're training ourselves for upcoming bullshit that we would lay on another.
OR truth in eyes means the tears are the only truth.
great two way poem
