The Windy Christmas

The Windy Christmas

A Poem by John Doeadeer (Pen name)
"

The first thing I thought of when electricity cuts off in the middle of a Christmas night.

"

O, I went out of the house, on a windy night

No electricity, but still cold and bright.

The cold breeze of the air that's freezing,

Oh, I know, Christmas is near.

Then I went inside, I and dad played chess,

The I was mated, yet I mated him best.

I could still feel the cold breeze,

Oh, I know, Christmas is near.

And again, a cool wind touches my face

I can't interpret with my own pace,

Just then a thought lingered on,

Oh, I know, a windy Christmas I see.

So, I say, even though there's no snow,

But, still, Christmas is really windy now,

It's now time for me to greet you,

A merry, windy Christmas to you.

About
I am John Doeadeer, and I'm using this to hide my identity as writers often do, as our literary world is full of danger... I am a huge fan of the classics of Shakespeare, Lord Tennyson, Hawthorne, .. more..
