Silent Speech

Silent Speech

A Poem by Jong Schrijver

The man etching phrases into stone
Knowing he must work alone.

The silent guardian of words
Yet his own voice remains unheard.

Trapped in a world of silent speech
But he doesn't need to speak, to teach.

And the things that he has shown
Why does he still remain unknown?

So who will be the one around
When this mans fate is bound?

When he dies all alone
Who will carry on with that stone?

Wow. I really like this. You do a good job of describing a lonely, almost pointless state of mind. Congratulations for branching out and writing different types of poems. The rhythm seems okay to me, and I have no suggestions. It's great already.

100/100
