Like a sharpened dagger
She would twist,
cut deep into your very being
She conquered mountains mightier than you
I guess I was just another
She would disguise herself as love
But she isn't and would never be
I stood naked in front of her
baring intimate aspect of myself to her
I was one who loved not wisely
but far too well

Take a deep breath but do not take in her fragrance
Free yourself
I am still struggling, trying to forget
I guess I never will
And that's ok
