Soon I'll be Dead

Can you feel bitter cold in the air?

Death is near,

And He’s coming for me.

The once bright summer day,

Begins to frost over

With the wintry chill of Death.

Can you not see the ice forming;

Feel the nippy breeze

Howling over the trees

Left bare by the cruel hand of Autumn;

Hear the crunch that the dead leaves

Make under our feet?

Dead leaves,

Gloomy skies;

Bleak reflection staring back.

Yes, I feel Death nearby,

And He’s coming for me…
