Who Are They

Who Are They

A Poem by Jqjohnson

The peace has been broken
The man is at your side
This thing you call freedom
Is all a great big lie

Tell them who you are
Tell them what you want
Your cries go unanswered
Their solution is a stunt

Who are they to tell us
How our lives may be lived
Who are they to say that
We must give and give and give

Strength is in numbers
It can't be done at once
We must band together
Their leader is a dunce

He leads them on their hunts

Your voice is not heard
No, not only one
When we join together
It will put them on the run

Tell them who we are
Tell them what we want
Our cries will be answered
We will be in front

Ya, who are they to tell us
What we can and cannot have
Who are they to say that
We must pay the golden calve

Let's take back what is ours
Let's take back what we need
The man takes all our heart
Fueled by all his greed

A stranger walks into my house
Proclaiming it's his deed
I can't face it any more
Now take this little seed...and grow
