Mind Slave

Mind Slave

A Poem by Layla J Omorose

Mind Slave

Mind Slave

Your are a mind slave
Your thoughts are not your own
You are a mind slave
Programmed by mechanical hands

Mind slave
Do what you are told
Did I ask you to speak
Have I told you to look up

Mind slave
You hate your people
You deny your culture
All those who fought for you
Fought for nothing

Mind Slave
You are as beautiful as we say you are
Your thick legs and wide hips must go

Mind Slave
Cover your face with this makeup
Wear the clothes we tell you to wear

Mind Slave
You are my property
You are my w***e

Mind Slave
You will submit to me

Obey me

Mind slave
You are weak
You are no protector

Mind slave
You have no family
They are mine

Mind Slave
You work for me
Answer to me
Do as I say.

Mind slave
Use violence against your own
but, never your master

Mind slave
I created you
I will break you

Wow this is a thought provoking poem. There are a few ways you can take this but I am going to give you the general one that most people will say instead of the deviated one. There are many circles in our life and many of them tell use we should act this way we should look a certain way. Everyone wanting to control what you do what you say and how you look. There is another way this could be taken but I am sure that was not your intent.

Definitely powerful and extremely thought provoking. I love the format you used and where your poem took my mind. Excellent

Powerful piece of writing, intense in it's construction like a wave of subliminal messages, really interesting work..
