Scarves of Sorrow

Scarves of Sorrow

A Poem by Y.F.

It's inside my head

wrapped around me

keeping me warm

on cold winter nights

I put marks on my calendar

day after day

I can't feel the days pass

since you left

I feel trapped, even caged

underneath this garment

that small piece of you

that was left behind

You might be gone

but I'm never alone

with your scarf of lies

with your scarf of lies

The repetition of the last line added some tension to the piece that i think really tied it together.
I liked the feeling of forelonging that rusn throughout the piece

THe symbolism is fantastic, the message powerful, and the scene vivid. I was emotionally stirred reading this. Great job.
