Guidance

Guidance

A Poem by Y.F.
"

Who could help us, misguided ones?

"

I've asked a rainbow for some guidance to the ground,

she said "go on forever, and dare not to look back".

Such beauty brings such sadness to the corner of my eye,

those colors cannot fend against those beasts and their attack.

I've asked the rain who drops for guidance to the ground,

he said "straight down, or from the side, as long as they get wet".

These colors, these umbrellas, they can't stop him, they won't dare,

he's been here long enough, and they pay him with respect.

I've asked the shining sun for guidance to the ground,

she said "go west my friend, though be weary from the sea".

So then I stayed between her rays, so warm and wise,

away from chasing rainbows, rain and the man I used to be.

I wrote this one out of insomnia.
I'm not sure I fully know what I meant, but I really like this form.

This to me has the feel of a Paulo Coelho novel "The Alchemist" in particular,
Very mystic, very at one with the universe,
But what do I know?
Good write, well done.

I don't know if I really grasp what the poem means exactly, and I am not trying to be critical or rude when I say this. It reads as an abstract, but the way it is versed really brings it all together. I read it three times and enjoyed doing so :)
