Your Skeleton

Your Skeleton

A Poem by Y.F.
"

Finding something that changes everything.

"
I've found him in the closet,
alone, covered in dust.
I took him out and talked to him,
I tried to gain his trust.

At first he didn't say much,
so modest and so shy,
then wished he had some guts to spill
as he began to cry.

I took him out for dinner
and then I've payed the bill -
He made me think of all the things
that seemed before so real.

We both then sunk in sadness,
our minds turned gelatin.
I woke to find us both in bed -
Me and your skeleton.

I didn't find any better rhyme for skeleton. If you have any suggestions, I'd be happy to hear them.

YS is filled w/humor but points out that we're more than JUST flesh & bone. Skeletons are our backbone but our emotions are the building blocks of character... I loved the the image of guts spilling out of skeletons & minds turning into gelatin.. And that rhyme fits perfectly...
Unless you wanna add a bird ref. Pelican (haha)...
