I suppose you could say it is morning, sigh....

I suppose you could say it is morning, sigh....

A Story by Judy Ponceby
"

Picture if you will two people starting their day....

"
"Good Morning!"
With a smile.
             "Humpf"
             With a frown.

"Look at that sunshine!"
With joyful glee.
             "Harumpf"
             With determined grouchiness.

"Coffee's on!"
Happily oblivious.
             "Grrrr."
Having not had said bringer of life as yet.

"Hey! Let's go for a run!"
Grinning wildly.
             **Fearsome glare**
with unbelieving look upon the face.

"No? A walk?"
Slightly less cheerily.
             **Ferocious silence**
             with intermittent grumbled mumblings.

"Umm..see you later?"
Taking leave.
             **Slow smile spreading across face**
             Mission Accomplished.

THAT WAS CUTE. And very nicely written.
And I kind of laughed.
I'm a cheery morning person, who starts the day by screaming in joy. :D I see what you think of my people...we will now RUIN YOUR MORNINGS FOREVER.

Happy and energetic people make us quiet and peaceful morning people wish for silence. A very entertaining poem. Some mornings I try to talk to wife. I get the hand and request for no talking. Thank you for a excellent poem.

I found this disturbingly cute. For some reason it reminds me of my mother and me in the morning! As soon as she leaves I get so much happier and a slow smile definitely creeps across my face. That smile, is the smile of freedom =] Haha! Loved it.

Judy, this poem is really cute. I think that's because we all recognize this guy. We all know him/her very well. I'm normally the irritable, morose person you write about and it still made me smile. It is very entertaining. One more observation: The reader can easily identify with either character in your poem. That fact makes the poem somewhat universally appealing. Write more like it.

I swear, I'm not the least bit cheery--practically ever!
Very amusing and artfully done.
