Iron

Iron

A Poem by Judy Ponceby
"

In response to www.oneword.com, in one minute.

"
The iron fist of control
holds domain over
the weak willed.
To those with heart
it presents a challenge,
a reason to fight,
to be inspired.
To be more than one would
be without defeating the resistance
of control over oneself.

Yes, Judy, "Iron" is an important reminder. Unfortunately, people are easily fooled or confused when Iron wears a velvet glove. Control is control, however, no matter how "reasonable" the rationales may sound.
I appreciate this little poem very much.

A call to arms if ever I heard one. "To those with heart it presents a challenge" indeed. Very nicely done Judy.

Not sure what the other reviewer is talking about, but I think this poem is graciously written and bears truth. Excellent as always, Judy.
