Faeries and their Alphafleurs.

Faeries and their Alphafleurs.

A Poem by Judy Ponceby
"

Flowery Fun....

"
     Dancing magenta Azaleas
                             Bleeding Hearts blush pink
        Twirling about Columbine
                             Daffodils dazzling
          Swaying with Echinacea
                             Fuschia skirts curtsey
                 Giggling Gladiolas
                             Hyacinth in shades of grape
       Sliding down an Iris
                             Jasmine scented sweet
          Skipping over Kalanchoe
                             Lilacs scenting spring
           Trumpteting Morning Glories
                             Nasturtiums tiger bright
                 Glowing Orchids
                             Pansy faces so pretty
     Tiptoeing across Queen Anne's Lace
                             Rose petals between the thorns.
     Stalking through Sunflowers
                            Tulips kissing the Sky
       Bowing to the Ume
                           Violets with velveted leaves
        Wishing upon Wisteria
                           Xerophyllum painted pretty
Spinning about the Yucca
                           Zinnias brightly hued.

Well, my long-standing friend, Sam, suggested I come read this and, am so thrilled I did .. what a wonderful picture of words you've painted, Judy! Of course I recognise all these plants/flowers and can see their mass of colours, rich or pastel shimmering in that garden .. never mind the varying seasons!

Tracked the artist down, messaged you.

This is lovely, truly lovely. x

"Fuschia skirts curtsey" is such a good image! This whole poem is beautiful and fresh and makes me feel full of spring! Also, the alphabet pattern really worked for this poem and made it unique. Loved it!
