Moving On

Moving On

A Poem by Jules K.
"

How I got over Green Eyed Prince.

"
Leaning too far into him
I was completely enraptured.
And when he left,
I was utterly abandoned.
Then you showed up,
Crooked teeth and southern drawl.
My crutch was the big city,
My legs were the steady speech of south.
Forever thankful to the Mama's boy
Who gave me my legs
And allowed me to stand upright
Off the crutch
That was you.

Author's Note

Jules K.
Note: I did not get my legs back to walk for or with this southern helper, he reminded me how to walk by myself, for myself.
