Rose Tree

Rose Tree

A Poem by Julia
"

this poem was written by one of my friends. i am not taking any credit for it

"
rose tree

A flower was offered to me:

Such a flower as May never bore.

But I said "I've a Pretty Rose-tree",

And I passed the sweet flower o'er.

Then I went to my Pretty Rose-tree:

To tend her by day and by night.

But my Rose turn'd away with jealousy:

And her thorns were my only delight.

This was impressive. Reminded me vaguely of the work of Emily Dickinson. I loved the imagery, the flow.. Wow. Beautiful, deep, and expressive. Great job:)

Some roses can be rebirth yearly if we are lucky. I like the logic of the poem. A rose need your full attention. A excellent poem.
