Intermission

Intermission

A Poem by MsJewel
"

I love watching the sunset...

"

art ~ Lauri Blank

~~~~~~
When the breeze gently cools in the late afternoon
and the sky slowly dims preparing for the moon...
As the surf starts to crash in rhythm on the sand
and seagulls lay quiet, while the sky takes command
of the suns golden glow descending towards the sea
and leaving in her wake, a pallet of beauty
Painted in rainbow hues of yellow, orange and red
sweeping the graceful sky, ''til the sun finds her bed
in twilight's tender pause...as the night will fall soon
and me...just patiently...waiting for the moon
~~~~~~

The personification in this one is super and the imagery, well, the picture you paint is magnificent, Julie. There is a peacefulness about this one. I think I remember it from when it was posted elsewhere....right? I am glad I got to read it again. Wonderful work. Lydi**

"Intermission"
Ms Jewel,
So much anticipation, happenings, colors; all as in your last line:
"and me....just patiently... waiting for the moon. I wrote a poem
from an experience similar to yours. Mine was last summer. It makes
a person feel giddy as it rises, like it sees us! So incredible.
The ocean experience here is an added facet:
"As the surfstarts to crash in rhythm on the sand
and seagulls lay quiet, while the sky takes command
of the suns golden glow descending towards the sea
and leaving in her wake, a pallet of beauty."
Very nice one.
blessings,
Kathy

Thank you Kathie :) Julie
A poetic scene, painted in the mind of the reader, aided by the illustration. I love sunsets. I have photographed many over the years, but they always look better when you are right there, in the moment. Nicely penned. ~ Robert.

Thank you Robert! :) Julie
I can see you sitting on a white sand beach seeing and hearing all you describe while you wait for the moon to rise - something that all of nature seems to be awaiting right alongside of you. You have painted this lovely scene so vey well that I can see it very clearly, July. Very well written.

Thank you for your lovely comment Joyce. Have a beautiful weekend. :) Julie
"and the sky slowly dims preparing for the moon." Your words have painted a beautiful sunset and set the tone for romance as you await the moon's rising. Just gorgeous Julie.

Thank you for leaving such a wonderful comment. :) Julie
Another beauty Julie. Again you have me sighing deeply at the depth with which you can take a reader into your words. There is an real emotional connection in this.
Lovely, lovely writing that flows just like a calm sea, very gently.
