No one quite as romantic as Holly Golightly when she has the "reds" instead fo the "blues". She knew people had to fall in love to find happiness....and so it shall ever be. Of course then there is my favorite quote of all time from "an Affair to Remember"....."winter must be cold for those with no warm memories." And you, my friend, obviously have wonderfully romantic memories or you would not be able to write such gorgeous love poems. This one is a bit poignant, but the beauty touches me. the classic movies were made way before you were born, but you feel them....and it shows. The artwork you chose to accompany this poem is pure perfection. Loved this. Lydi**

I can relate to these movies much more than the movies today. The romance, the tragedy, the tears...and then of course the happy ending....Thank you for supporting my poetry Lydi. I appreciate you and your friendship. :) Julie

Thanks so much my sweet friend.. I'm thrilled you like this one. Have a beautiful day! :) Julie
Oh how very clever Julie. I love how you wove so many movie titles into this and I thoroughly enjoyed and captured your imagery without the picture here. That's the mark of a wonderful poet!
A wonderfully romantic poem

I am a sucker for vintage pop culture, and this one gripped me right from the start. And when you factor coffee into the equation, it's a slam dunk for me haha There is such a gentle beauty to this piece that borders on innocence. Perhaps it was simply a more innocent time you speak of here, when simple pleasures were all that were needed, and the best things in life truly were free. Love this one :)
I've been writing poetry for 15 years. My poetry isn't unique in any way, but it is written from the heart.
I have trouble keeping up with everyone's poetry, so please send me rr's.
I enjoy rec.. more..
