So Far Away

So Far Away

A Poem by MsJewel
"

~ a romantic scribble ~

So far away

and yet

when the night is warm and the air is thick

and the motion of the breeze
gently

tickles my skin

…like your soft breath
on the nape of my neck…

oh oui mon amour

suddenly
you are here

and before I can focus

before I remember

my lips whisper

stay

…floating

like a secret

on the warm night air…

for a moment

I am yours

The longing for that someone special.....I am struggling with this every day. The chance to hear her voice, feel her touch is like a dream but a nightmare too. I close my eyes and see her and know that patience is what is needed if my love is so strong.

This is simply touching and resinates with me.

Regards
Troy

Does it feel like he's there? Or he too is mentally connected to you and just comes at the right time?
Smooth poem as usual and your romance is delicate and fanciful 💘
Just one request, translate that foreign line, I want to sense it💗
And your writings are more than scribbles.

Thank you sweet friend. :) Julie
This feels like a lovely rendezvous; a scene in a romantic movie.

I think I've been watching too many old movies lately...I've become addicted!
i like the last two lines, "for a moment/ I am yours"

and it reminds me how sometimes love is really good but so ephemeral...

like the Carole King song of the same title as your poem..."doesn't anybody stay in one place anymore, it would be so find to see your face at my door, it doesn't help to know, you're so far away"
you know i know about long distance love...and i really appreciate this poem.
