The beautiful hours are gone

 

Images fade of amethyst nights and moonlit desires

and silver stars sparkling on an ocean of dreams,

 rising with the dawn, these tender tides

             like a promise dancing on a poetic breeze

                     where lush green vines, bloomed whispered words

                           Weaving our hearts in gentle rhyme

         

           vanishing... 

                 without a trace

 

as silence fills the empty space

you once painted with colors of love

 

How I long to hear just an echo of that breeze

but it is still

          it is cold

and you are left bleeding…

 

While I am nothing but a distant heartbeat,

a painful forgotten memory

 

In forgiveness,

      I hunger

        I ache

to find the words to tell you

 

a day without your voice is a lifetime without poetry

                                                                       without beauty…

Tonight I am burning with the same feeling, of missing a close friend. I was thinking of writing something about it and I stumbled upon this beautiful 'without a trace'. I could feel it . Every word, every sentence. The poem now makes me feel you know how.

This is heart touching work. The use of imagery was especially powerful with the silence that comes along with loneliness. I felt as if I was being attacked. This is one of those poems that conveys emotions so easily that the reader can feel guilty for saying they can understand, because it feels like an insult to say such a thing, knowing that even though we can feel such strong emotion, we feel nothing compared to the person who has walked in these shoes.

Words are such an amazing medium for expressing feelings and emotions.
And how we use them can say so much about oneself.
You have an incredible talent for creating beautiful images and finding your way into the hearts of many.

You caught my attention with your beautiful poetry and you touched my heart with your sincerity
But the friendship that we built was something special.

Words can be used to great effect....... and sometimes we use them inappropriately
and then we realize what was said and wish we had a giant magical eraser to make them go away.

This poem is your best work that you have ever written from your HEART.
And it has touched my heart and reached into my soul and made me cry.

You know beside being your biggest fan.... I will always be your friend.

Stunned silence...
I understand the power of a friendship to muse our creativity.
I understand how we can have an unexplainable connection to another soul beyond our ability to define within our cultural context...
I understand how lonely it feels to loose this connection; how colorless the world becomes, how tasteless the bread of life wets our drying tongue, how numbness and searing pain trade places like a flipping coin within our heart...
Know you are never really alone.
Know this connection was real.
Know this person is who you thought they were... Even if life complicates their nature beyond circumstances you aware of... You can trust your knowledge of character and truth.
Know, never will such a tie be forgotten... Never...
I know this is truth even if I do not know your specific circumstances...
The poem itself emanates a fragrance like a garden of well cared roses...
