~ a love poem ~

~~~
Rivers flow, oceans rise
behind the stars in his eyes
I’ve counted each one you see
bathed in reveries
of satin tides, waves of silk,
moonlight pale as milk
Drifting gently to the sound
of his heartbeat….
I am found
~~~

This is very smooth. The rhythm, the imagery, almost feels like the waves crashing and receding, or like a faint murmur on the ear.

"moonlight pale as milk" fav line.

Great ending too

"I am found"

Sudden. Almost like waking up from a reverie .

Yes passions rise in this exchange! Finely written Julie, I think the kettle is boiling in this one!

Julie, a big and deep SIGH and besides wanting to say 'you are found', I am glad you did not describe as a "scribble" cause even if it was a random thought written down on a lunch time napkin, smeared with a bit of mustard, this poem would take away the breath of all the romantics in the world and beyond and the collective sigh would reach back to the big bang... but in this poem there is nothing out of place, each emotion finely tuned in reveries and satin tides... if this isn't love, and sensuality and heart beats all in one then I am clueless when it comes to romance and love or anything for that matter... I seriously hope you know just how good a poet you really are Julie..

Sensual and soft, warm and willing, this one whispers into the ear. Beautiful!

...a love poem, indeed...no scribble, nothing less! I loved the sensuality you weaved through this, Julie...truly mesmerizing.
