A Poem by Juliette Cross

how did we get to the point where sound is drowned out by clever men in tights?

this is not an answerable question.

this is the point where women walk aimlessly,
laughing at the sound of raindrops on your back,

cause you look interesting lying there, dead.

how did we find the place where points come together
forming a row of perfectly matched books,

stacked on top of one another
in that house that fell down a long time ago.

how did i find your eyes in the midst of all that mess
in the cloud of all your tears,

and rain falling down endlessly on your back?

this is not an answerable question.

Sick. What it brings to me is that the "how" is not a relevant question. Reason being that it grants no answers. Only that in the rain, people find communality, to say that shared pain is better than not. Find fortune rather than neglect in such a discovery.
