The Ridiculous Game

The Ridiculous Game

A Poem by While the blossoms still cling

The rain pattered on the wall
I tried to stand tall
The screaming, the tears
The same after all these years

Why can't they see
What this has done to me?
Can't they understand my pain
And stop this ridiculous game?

"Do it for the children" I've heard others say
It would be nice if it was that way
But I don't want to stay here
Watch me disappear..
