The Feed

A Poem by Jym Parrella
"

Sometimes you will make an epic mistake with the person you care about most. Now that people can hide on the internet it can be destructive to your goal.

"
I’m bleeding out
I’ve opened a self inflicted wounds
I let my insecurities break me and hurt you
It feels like I am the new Atlas and the world rest on my shoulders
As I try and repair damages done
You are the key to my survival
I almost lost you because of how my poorly wired brain works
I’m almost lost the thing that makes me a whole
It’s has been 75 days since I collapsed our world
I count each day as reminder of your tears
There are days that I sit in silence and think about all I’ve done
Then I see you, I see you and I thank God
Don’t let the feed beat us
Don’t let rumors kill us
My transgressions hang tight around my neck like a noose
You are my love and my hangman
