Under lock and key

Under lock and key

A Poem by Brave New World

Under lock and key

What have you done to me?

Falling out of the conversation

Slipping out of a nation

Of ignorance and disgrace

Am I just another race?

Just another number for your books?

You know what you took…

Don’t know what you did…but shouldn’t you feel ashamed

Or is this just another game?

Under lock and key

What have you done to me?

Youthless and helpless

Sad and hopeless

Don’t flash your emotions

No need for worthless notions

Sell yourself quick

I find it rather sick

Pity that you can’t find another buyer

It’s actually quite dire

You thought you had a plan

Now you know it’s all a sham

Under lock and key

What have you done to me?

What are you going to do

When your time is due?

You cry, you laugh

Actually rather daft

It’s quite a disgrace

You move with such haste

Under lock and key

What have you done to me
