Happy Birthday to You

Today's your birthday I was there You are mine. Pieces of you are from my heart, my mind and my soul.   Today I will tell you again about the day you were born. How when your eyes met mine and I was lost - forever. Tiny red red face all pinched and mad at the world.   Today I will tell you again how love that is given is love that comes back many times over. I cannot imagine a more cherished birthday gift than a poem from mother to daughter such as this. What a wonderful poem! I hope she has this stashed safely away in the place where she keeps her most special treasures when she is 80.
