Ask for rupees
Lining the Ghats
In the river
Ganges

Muslim, Hindu
Buddhist, Christian
All denominations
In the city of
religious wisdom

Burning bodies
Ceremonial Chimes
Dhobi Wallah's
Wash in
Ganges lines

Indian people
Fight for existence
Living, just living
No fighting
No resistance

Varanasi
So raw so real
If a Hindu dies here
Nirvana the
Deal

Oh Varanasi
You've a life beating flow
Let's me sink into your depths
let's see
How deep I can go

It seems that the journey inspired you, firstly geographically speaking you ended there which is already a clear statement. Then the city itself "You're about to enter one of the most blindingly colourful, unrelentingly chaotic and unapologetically indiscreet places on earth. Varanasi takes no prisoners. But if you're ready for it, this may just turn out to be your favourite stop of all." From what I've read that excerpt was the one that impressed me the most. It seem theere is never a dull moment there which seems exciting, a lot of seeking , a lot of flavours, different points of views, music, food, my goodness why wouldn't it be exciting.

I feel myself sinking within the thread count of this tapestry of life in India - relearning in a brand new way to accept life for what it is over here - it seems such a struggle for most of the population - but then - this is all they know - so a desire for better is non existent - or is that too presumptuous of me?
