The Elephant and The Gator

The Elephant and The Gator

A Poem by Kaela
"

Lyrics.

"

{Verse 1}

Once the elephant and gator

Were friends

But now, they share nothing

But loose ends

They used to play everything

Under the sun

Pranks, Games, and Jokes, now

It’s all but fun

{Chorus}

Who knew that best friends

Could change in the blink of an eye.

Don’t take life for granted

Some people aren’t meant to say goodbye

In the blink of an eye,

Don’t say goodbye

{Verse 2}

Now-a-days when the two meet

Things turn sour

The once great friends are now

Enemies of the hour

Shift the world back to it was

Way back when

While everything was still calm

Go back to then

{Bridge}

Go back to that time when it was all

As simple as a rhyme and the grass was tall

{Chorus}

Who knew that best friends

Could change in the blink of an eye.

Don’t take life for granted

Some people aren’t meant to say goodbye

In the blink of an eye,

Don’t say goodbye

{Verse 3}

So now the once best friends can’t stand

The other’s sight

But they still hold the memories of fun

That shine bright

So take a second before you go

And don’t forget

Never regret those most important times

Or those you’ve met

{Chorus}

Who knew that best friends

Could change in the blink of an eye.

Don’t take life for granted

Some people aren’t meant to say goodbye

In the blink of an eye,

Don’t say goodbye

In the blink of an eye,

Don’t say goodbye
