Indefinite Flame

Indefinite Flame

A Poem by Onyx Sky

Indefinite Flame

My heart is an indefinite flame
It burns and coils with everything I have ever felt
Alive and true with so many chambers, secrets, desires and thoughts
It has a mind of its own

An everything I have ever thought, witnessed or experienced
Is inscribed permanently into my heart
And then transitioned into my brain
Making its way into my mouth
Where I can’t possibly reiterate everything my heart has told me with as much proficiency
Continuing on into my eyes
Show cased for the world to see
Making tears seep into puddles
Onto my cheeks

Because everything I have ever felt
All my secrets, desires, and thoughts
Are an indefinite flame
Running eternally, each in correspondence with the other
Creating a chain effect
I wish my eyes weren’t such a tattle-teller
And I could fool everyone into believing in their vacancy
