When is the last time

When is the last time

A Poem by Onyx Sky
"

A longing.

"

It's really bothering me

Because for the life of me

I keep asking myself

Can't fathom

When is the last time I tasted you

When is the last time I held your lips

Those velvety pillows of skin

Against mine

When is the last time

Your tongue met mine

Shook hands and said hello

Aching

to have that face-to-face encounter

But yet

Our lips

They pass eachother

Like strangers on the streets

Pretending

That our tongues didn't dance a song

That synchronized our heartbeats

Playing a game

Of hide and seek

My tongue hides

While yours continues to seek

I guess our lips have parted ways

No tear-stained cheeks

Or sad Good Byes

Just liquidy tongues

Our saliva crys

Wow this was heartbreakingly beautiful. A bitter fruit which must be tasted in life & you have captured it very well.

WOW! I'm feeling this on a whole different level. this is beautiful. I can't even quote any lines. I loved it all. From "when is the last time i tasted you" to "our saliva crys" I can't wait to read some more!
