Windows to the Soul

Windows to the Soul

A Poem by Onyx Sky
"

mysteries of the eyes

"

They say that eyes are the windows to the soul
So I guess when I gazed into them this morning
As I lay next to you in my bed
It was ironic to see
A reflection of my bedroom window

I ask a lot of questions
With my eyes and with my words
But so do you
Every time you speak
I now put a question mark behind it

If eyes always tell the truth
Then why are so many innocent suffering?
If eyes hold all the secrets
How come I don’t notice when you’re being deceiving?

I always thought for years
Your eyes were the windows to your soul
Now I look into your eyes
And realized maybe your blinds and curtains
Have always been closed

nice and thoughtful ,they ,yes they tell a lot ,but people seems to have known the secret so they can hide it and you can never tell,so they are not a mirror to the soul any more, and as you say ,they have pulled the blinds and curtains down ,good work
