Iam a woman

Iam a woman

A Poem by Loner
"

A victim of her husbands beatings ( a universal truth).

"

              I am a woman

As I sit on my bed feeling numb from inside, having
Scattered thoughts in my mind. “Oh! Why you beat
Me so much”? Last night it was a belt, just now it
Was your fists and kicks, I am nothing else but pain
All over, having a black eye and bruises on my body
You say you love me madly but my oozing blood
From my lips makes me disbelieve you, I am a wife

On  paper, but a punching bag for you
Your touch hurts me, brings tears in my eyes
I wince but cannot utter a word, am I a toy?
Or a human being like you? Who eats, sleeps and
Breaths
s change its course?
Am I a failure as a wife, a human being or then
Being a woman only?

Now I want to give you pain the way you
Have hurt me and then scream back at
You “LEARN TO RESPECT ME, IAM
NOT YOUR RAG DOLL, I AM A WOMAN.”

The awfulness of such abuse comes through powerfully... It is hard to comprehend how anybody could treat another human being in such a way, let alone his wife...

you've managed to take a very big problem and show every angle of how it can cause pain to someone. Also by describing the scene the reader is able to really imagine whats going on.

Well done, it's a good read!
Keep writing :)

I hope that no one has ever treated you in such a fashion and if so, I hope they burn for it in the underworld. And you are right, most abused women are silent yet shouldn't be. They should fight back.

it truly breaks my heart when i think about how spiritually weak but physically strong men beat on women, children and animals...
men are born with so much aggression and it takes women - strong mothers to raise them...i often wonder; do these men come from a mother that they were taught to not respect? respect somehow must be instilled but these kind of men thrive on instilling fear, a false power.

Good to address this, the more you make people aware that it happens people will be able to come out knowing they will receive support.

This in my opinion needs a little work. Flow is off and a little choppy.

I like some of the word choice and how you bring some courage to her. Others seem a little off. Blue eye = black eye? Heartfelt. Good read, but think you can make this into something special.

No woman should have to endure that not even for a single second.
Any man who beats on women is just a coward. It sickens me to
know this goes on all over the world. A great write to bring awareness
to all....
