This too shall pass

This too shall pass

A Poem by KaplanKop

If the deep darkness I'm enveloped in is not real,
If it's all in my mind, and everyone else in the same thing is also imagining it,
If our heavy thoughts and moods and hopelessness is not based on fact, that mechanical emotionless word,
If this too shall pass, if none of this is permanent, and if I shouldn't really be worrying about it all too much,
Then why does everything that passes only give way to the same?
Yes, this passes, but it's then the same again.

One does not achieve wisdom without suffering. One does not know truly about love until it's gone. We don't know the entirety of the world because our personal space in it is small. We only know the things we live. Your poem is a step in the right direction because to ask questions is to want to seek answers. And only those of curious mind can eventually find enlightenment.

If we don't change within, the world will not change without.
