Serenity in the chaos

Serenity in the chaos

A Poem by Karen John
"

Our English professor asked us to write a poem about what we love the most in our college ...and this is what i wrote...

"
As the noon bell interrupts the silence
we race the wind to the crowded canteen
In midst of all the oblivion and chaos
our favorite people seated together

They call out to us with joyful voices
Happiness and fun in a singular frame
like little kids who play carelessly,
unlike those who chase worldly pleasures.

Hi Karen, just a slight revamp of your wonderful composition (as requested) – hope you like what I have created!

As soon as the noon bell interrupts the day
We race the silent wind to the canteen
With our favorite friends seated together
In the midst of all the chaos and awareness

They call out to us with genuine excitement
Happiness and enjoyment in a singular frame
As children playing in careless abandonment
Unlike those rushing after life's false pleasures

PS - in poetry - sometimes leaving out the punctuation marks enhances the write! :-)
