Artificial Light

Artificial Light

A Poem by Wallflower

You think you shine
But you don't even glisten.
You're like a rock on a mission,
Far from a star-
Just dirty ambition.

ode to those who try to impress

Posted 12 Years Ago

I really like the phrase "Dirty Ambition"... And I think it sums-up a whole lotta people in this world today - and a lot of them are seen as stars; role-models, 'celebrities'...
There seems to be no such thing anymore as Shame - so long as there's Fame. (Hey! I rhymed!!)
I hope one day the target(s) of this poem will be deeply offended...Cutting.
